Earl Johansen and Nearly Kelly have been friends since they were boys in Campbell, Iowa. Now old men, Nearly lives in the Veterans Home, where Earl is his frequent visitor and steadfast companion. Songwriter, singer, and guitarist Ann Reed has been performing for more than thirty- five years with her rich-as-chocolate voice and songs that find a permanent place in the heart. Her talent for telling stories from the human experience led her to write her first novel, Citizens of Campbell.
Ann Reed lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
