Binod C Agrawal, M.S., Ph.D. (Wisconsin), is currently Director, TALEEM Research Foundation and involved in promoting open and distance learning and setting up Univesity in the Sky. Until recently he was with Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ahmedabad where he worked over two decades and pioneered use of qualitative methods for communication research during the world famous Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE). Dr. Agrawal is founder Director of Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA) where qualitative research technique were used for developing health related communication messages. His publications include over a dozen books on television, computer technology, and anthropological studies. Dr. Agrawal represented India in several international communication research forums. Currently he is also President of the National Council for Development Communication, India. Arbind Sinha with post graduate degree in Anthropology and Ph.D. in Sociology worked for more than two decades with Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad. He has wide experience of working with issues related to applications of science and technology for rural development. He was involved with all major social studies on satellite applications in the country including SITE, Kheda, interactive tele-teaching and Jhabua Development Communication Project. His major involvement has been in the field of development communication, disaster communication, and health communication. Dr. Sinha is a Professor of TALEEM Research Foundation, Ahmedabad and has been, presently, deputed to work as Communication Advisor to the Royal Danish Embassy, New Delhi. He contributed one book, co-edited two books and more than dozen of papers in books and journals of national and international repute.
