Dr. Yahui Wang is an assistant professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology, serving as the founder of the Future Mobility Lab, and holding a membership in the China Ergonomics Society. Dr. Wang has about 10 years of research and industrial cooperative practice experience in automotive UX design, human–machine interaction, and innovative design. His primary focus lies in human–machine interaction design and user experience of the automotive industry and improves the academic infrastructure by combining interdisciplinary cooperation and in-depth design practice. Dr. Wang has successfully led intelligent vehicle human factors evaluation and innovative pre-research projects for prominent automobile brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Changan, Huawei, Dongfeng, and more. His current research activities focus on the evaluation and optimization of automotive user experience and interface design using scientific human factors design tools and intelligent algorithms. Using psychological, cognitive, and neuroscience experimental paradigms and a range of human factors engineering methods, the future mobility lab, under his leadership, delves into uncovering the users” unconscious attitudes/emotions, preferences, motivation, and decision-making. Through these comprehensive studies, Dr. Wang aids his clients in gaining a profound understanding of the impacts of new technologies or features on users” driving performance, mental workload, and overall driving safety.
