Bill and Louise have been married for fifty-six years. They raised six children, have seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They read stories to those children until they could read for themselves, encouraging development of imagination and love of reading. Their experience as parents encouraged them to develop this family-oriented adventure for their children and others who might be interested. It is their belief that a story can be mysterious and riviting without the use of violence and foul language. The Schmidts lived most of their lives on the East Coast, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, moving to Western Arizona in 1999 after retirement. Bill had his own graphic arts business and Louise worked as an analytical chemist. They enjoy the sunny dryness of the desert southwest, travel in the western US, reading and writing for fun.
