The first in a series of three children’s picture books, this story of unconditional parental love was inspired by the author’s adoption of her son, MKW. After many family discussions about what to tell their son, when to tell him, and how to tell him, the answer came after much prayer, many sleepless nights, and finally through writing down what developed into Adopted Beloved. The author, her husband, and their sons live by the seashore in Maryland, and really have been known to swim beneath the great lighthouse.
