Seven Dogs chronicles the life of Alex OBrien through his experiences as a dog owner, and the life lessons that dog ownership brings. From unrestrained joy to unimaginable heartbreak, Alex endures experiences with each dog that teach him life lessons of love, friendship, and sorrow. In Volume One, we meet Fisher: the English Coonhound. The two develop an immediate bond and it is Fisher that teaches Alex about love and loyalty. When Alex learns that local wildlife is threatening pets, he sets out with Fisher on an adventure that will change both of their lives forever.

Cody Camarillo is a lifelong animal lover and literary buff. Cody grew up working closely with horses and dogs, and thus has an intimate understanding of the close bonds that people can form with these creatures. Cody discovered his love of literature at age 8 by tackling Michael Crichtons Jurassic Park and has not stopped reading since. As a high school sophomore, Cody entered a Scary Story writing contest for his local newspaper. Though not a winner, Cody received strong encouragement from the editor to consider a career in writing; thus, sparking his desire to put pen to paper.
