Bekyashev has a PhD in Law, and is Associate Professor of the International Law Chair at the International Law Faculty of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University), Russia. Specializing in international labour law, problems of labour migration in international law, and international maritime law, he has participated in UN, FAO and ILO conferences, technical consultations, forums and working groups. He is the author and co-author of five books on international law, a number of textbooks, including International Labour Law: Public Law Aspects (2013), and over 100 articles in professional legal magazines.
