This collection is a comprehensive and historical documentation on the subject of rice genetics, spanning 45 years of research and scholarly work.Held in 2005 and published two years later, Rice Genetics V contains 23 chapters from various contributors on topics dealing with rice genetic research, including rice as a model genome for cereal research, structural genomics and resources, developmental biology and gene regulation, applied genetics, and functional genomics and rice improvement. A brief overview of the past five Rice Genetics symposia, spanning the years 1985-2005, is fittingly included at the end.
