Nietzsche believed in accepting the reality of this world and trying to rise above oneself here, being great in this life, instead of living in dreams of another life. He did not believe in the idea of giving up the pursuit of greatness in the current existence in the hope of a better life after death in some other world. He believed in the idea of the overman or superman, in which each person should to raise oneself to higher levels by one’s own effort.
