Dr. Sattar S. Emamian is an accomplished individual with a strong academic background and extensive expertise in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He earned his Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia in 2018. As a recognized professional, he is a member of the esteemed Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he furthered his research career as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Malaya in 2019. His research focuses on various areas, including manufacturing systems, friction stir welding, solid-state additive manufacturing, and materials science. These research endeavors have expanded the knowledge and understanding of these subjects, contributing to the advancement of the field. Currently, he is a researcher at the University of Twente, where he continues to explore new horizons in his areas of expertise. Dr. Mokhtar Awang is a Professional Engineer and an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Perak, Malaysia. He is also a Chartered Engineer with Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, UK (IMar EST). He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Detroit Mercy, MI, USA, and both Master and Doctorate degrees from West Virginia University, WV, USA. Mokhtar Awang had 6 years of experience in industry and over 20 years of academic experience in the field of finite element modeling and friction stir welding. Currently he serves as a Director at Institute of Transport Infrastructure at UTP. Dr. Hussain H. Al-Kayiem obtained his Ph D from the University of Bradford-UK. His research interests are in the areas of Thermo-Fluids and Energy Technologies leader.Prof Hussain has been awarded at different national and international levels for his innovative achievements in the energy sector. He wasawarded the Special Energy and Environment INNOVA2010 award – Brussels; and a special award from the Polish Inventor and Rationalized Institute in 2011. For his distinguished academic achievements, Prof. Hussain has conferred the ‘Eminent Scientist Award’ of Wessex Institute – the UK in 2016. And for his distinguished scientific contributions, he has been appointed as a research fellow of Wessex Institute of Technology-UK, a research fellow of the Center of Excellence for Advanced Research in Fluid Flow, CARIFF-UMP, and a research fellow in the Power Generation Research Centre, PGRC – UNITEN. He is an editor and editorial board member of three international journals and the Engineering Journal – UTP platform editor.
