The purpose of this book is to share and discuss pertinent scripture text as well as elaborating on the same, utilizing clear and precise language that can be understood by all its readers. This book also serves to enlighten the readers of the presence of God in everyday life. Hopefully, the readers will find something relevant in this book to encourage his/her life. Ultimately, this book was written to give hope to the readers understanding, that God is alive and still performs miracles in the believers life.

Reverend Jacob Smith, M.Div., is a retired (AME) African Methodist Episcopal Church minister, who was a pastor for twenty-three years over one congregation (Greater Saint Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church in Bonneau, South Carolina). He was born in Charleston, South Carolina (the Holy City). He grew up in rural Charleston County in the South Santee section of the Mc Clellanville area. He is the husband of Jattie Smith for forty-two years. They are blessed with one daughter, Carol; two grandchildren, Derrick (wife, Tamekia) and Stanisha (husband, Terrell); and three great-grandchildren, Faith, Micah, and Malachi (deceased).
His family played a major role in his spiritual life. During his tenure as pastor, he built a new sanctuary (Saint Mark AMEC) and paid it off (in full) in eight years. Reverend Smith also served under four bishops as their Statistician in the South Carolina Palmetto Conference of the AME Church. He believes that God divinely set him apart to write these thoughts of encouragement to the reader. He wants to also remind readers that hope is alive and well. To God be the glory.
