Through a fictional wheat farming family, the author explores the dynamics of American wheat, Vietnam War, and the Watergate scandal. Toward gaining peace in Vietnam, Nixon made a secret wheat deal with Moscow which was joined inseparably to a billion-dollar grain fraud against the farmers.
