These poems come from the heart of a commom man. It is my sincere hope that they touch the hearts of others as they have my own. This hope is expressed in the title ‘Two Hearts As One’.

I was born in Van Horn, Texas on May 31, 1969. I was raised primarily in Texas, but spent a few years as a boy in Idaho. I proudly claim Meridian Texas as my hometown. I graduated from Meridian High School in May of 1987. I attended Austin Community College for two years and then graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 1993 with a B.S. degree in Physical Education. On May the 8th of 1994 I married the love of my life, Peggy Short. We have since lived and worked in many areas and at many diverse occupations. We currently reside in Harper, Kansas with our three daughters; Danielle, Jordan, and Leilani. I am the Youth Leadear at Faith Baptist Church in Attica, Kansas and enjoy influencing and guiding the lives of young people. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Ministry from Calvary Baptist Bible Schools in Eufaula, Oklahoma. I look foward to writing more poetry and am considering a line of adventure books for children.
