The author, Joyce Bomar Smith, reveals the emotional stress of losing a pet and the determination of one fine dog to search all night to find his little friend. The story also encourages the reader to never give up even if there is a possibility of a sad ending, but this story is enlightening by the owner resuscitating the unconscious dog. Blowing into his nostrils and pressing slowly on the chest caused the little mischievous dog to breathe again.
