Was involved in the social evaluation of SITE and co-edited Television and the Indian Child (1987). Kiran S. Karnik, currently Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President, Discovery channel in India. After graduation from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, joined technology management team Indian Space Research Organization, where he was Director, Development and Educational Communication Unit at Ahmedabad. He played a key role in the design, planning and implementation of SITE. C. Lal, currently, Group Director in the area of Digital Communication in Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad. Holds his Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Allahabad University. He has been responsible for development of a number of satellite communication related technologies and led the team of engineers responsible for hardware development of SITE. K. Vishwanath, Chief Producer, Development and Educational Communication Unit, ISRO, Ahmedabad had his Master”s degree in Czechoslovakia in film production. Has produced several nationally acclaimed documentaries and educational films. He led the educational production team of science education during Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE), 1975-76.
