Ken and Pat Birt retired to Venice, Florida, in 2011. Pat had a career in the executive offices of a major medical facility after working in an entrepreneurial start-up of a resort community. Ken was ordained a United Methodist clergyman in 1978. His last ministerial appointment was in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
