This book brings togther, for the first time, the multiple perspectives of the war’s colonized and colonial participants and examines its various actions within a single, gendered analytical frame.

She is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on Onitsha Igbo society, media and modern magic in southern Nigeria, Nigerian Pentecostalism in the twenty-first century, as well as on British colonialists and their encounters with Igbo-speaking peoples from 1870-1930.
