El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar el papel del contenido cultural de textos narrativos con distintas perspectivas en el proceso de lectocomprension en lengua extranjera (L2). Mas especificamente, este proyecto tuvo tres objetivos centrales: explorar la influencia de la perspectiva externa, "desde afuera" o "outsider" (es decir, con un narrador participante de la celebracion descripta pero no miembro de la cultura representada) ademas de la autogeneradora, "desde adentro" o "insider" (es decir, con un narrador participante de la celebracion descripta y miembro de la cultura representada) en la captacion del contenido cultural de textos narrativos en L2; describir los distintos abordajes culturales para cada una de dichas perspectivas; y describir detalladamente el umbral de conciencia cultural propia y de lo ajeno durante la lectura en L2 para ambos casos. The objective of this study was to investigate the role of the cultural content of narrative texts with different perspectives on the process of lecture comprehension in a foreign language. More specifically, this project had three central objectives: to explore the influence of the outside perspective, "from the outside" or "outsider" (that is, with a narrator that is not from the represented culture) apart from the self-generating "from the inside" or "insider" (that is, with a narrator that is part of the represented culture) in the capture of the content of the narrative texts in L2; to describe the distinct cultural approach for each of the distinct perspectives; and to describe in detail the threshold of their own cultural awareness and of others during the lecture in L2 in various cases
