Anastasia V. Mitrofanova, b. 1973, is a Senior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation. She received her M.A. (1994) and Cand.Sc. (1998) in Political Science from Moscow State University. In 1997, she was a Fox Visiting Fellow at the Yale University Center for International and Area Studies, in 2000, a Fellow at the College of Security Studies of the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies at Honolulu, and, in 2004, a Visiting Professor at Kutztown University, Pennsylvania. In 2002–2004, she held a Research and Writhing Initiative Individual Grant of the John D. and Catherine T. Mac Arthur Foundation Program on Global Security and Sustainability. Mitrofanova’s main publication are Politizatsiia ‘pravoslavnogo mira’ (Moskva: Nauka 2004), and, as editor, Religiia v mezhdunarodnykh otnosheniiakh: Za predelami ‘mezhkonfessional’nogo dialoga’ (Moskva: Moskovskii filosofskii fond 2003).
