Over the course of their contributions to this volume, scholars from a variety of disciplines construct a collective argument that complicates the dominant international view of Finnish cinema as small-scale industry dominated by realist art-house films.

Pietari Kääpä is associate professor in media and communications at the University of Warwick. His current research interests focus on environmental media studies, especially the use of environmental incentives in media production, as exemplified in his recent book, Environmental Management of the Media: Policy, Industry, Practice (Routledge, 2018).
