He specializes in development and environmental economics, climate change and trade, and applied econometrics, and also has broader research interests in climate change adaptation and mitigation, urban development, and health economics. He has wide experiences in teaching and research work at national and international levels including UNESCAP, Bangkok; Bath University, UK; and Madras School of Economics, Chennai.
