Wendy Gay Pearson: Wendy Gay Pearson is an Assistant Professor in Women’s Studies and Feminist Research at the University of Western Ontario. She has published widely on discourses of sexuality, race, citizenship and belonging in contemporary film and literature, with a focus on lesbian and gay and Indigenous issues as well as on sexuality and gender in science fiction. She is the co-editor (with Veronica Hollinger and Joan Gordon) of
Queer Universes: Sexualities in Science Fiction (Liverpool UP, 2008).
Susan Knabe: Susan Knabe is an Assistant Professor in both the departments of Media and Information Technology and of Women’s Studies and Feminist Research at the University of Western Ontario. Her research interests include the construction of gender and sexuality in discourses of health and disease as well as the representation of gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity in film and media.
