William Croft holds a DVM from the University of Minnesota–St. Paul and a Ph D in Medical Pathology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison; these gave him the tools to study the cause and effect relationship of human and animal illnesses. He worked as an anatomical pathologist for UW–Madison. He currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
