Robert Perišić; nació en Split, Croacia, en 1969. Empezó a escribir en la década de 1990, animado por un claro sentimiento antibelicista durante los días posteriores a la guerra que desgarró la antigua Yugoslavia, y trabajó como editor de revistas culturales. Su novela debut, Naš čovjek na terenu («Nuestro hombre en Irak», 2007), recibió los más importantes premios literarios en su país. Siguieron El último artefacto socialista (2014), adaptada exitosamente como serie de televisión, y Brod za Issu («El gato en el fin del mundo», 2022). Es autor, además, de diversos libros de relatos y del guion de la película 100 minuta slave («100 minutos de fama», 2004). Actualmente reside en Zagreb.
