Her insight gained through experience can be a comfort to anyone dealing with personal tragedy and life-changing trauma. This is a memoir that offers a perspective filled with vulnerability and hope as it illuminates the unpredictability of life and the fragility of our bodies but also the strength of our wills to endure and overcome. When people choose to share their experiences with such candor as Davies has, others can find solace and connection as they confront their own challenges. — Michelle Jacobs, The US Review of Books
