Reading and writing, speaking and listening – these are the main ways in which we can understand grief and loss. The special time devoted to grieving also represents the chance to adjust one´s sensibility to reading and understanding texts. The breadth of feelings that accompany grieving includes anger, love, fear, release, time, matter and the body to its very last breath. All of these themes we find in the novel excerpts, travelogues, interviews and letters collected for this volume. The methodological section assists grief counselors with a broad spectrum of materials for direct application: completion texts, finding one´s own voice, intensive listening, discussion, answering questions and much more.
