Devotions are defined as love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or group. With Gods continuous love for us, it is necessary to devote our time and energy on his teachings. Daily Devotions with Jen focuses on Gods love and compassion for our world. Through prayer and daily reminders, we are able to refocus and create a more positive mindset. These reminders offer hope and a fresh renewal of our faith.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me (Ps. 51:10 KJV).
When you stop and think about how much of your time is spent on worry and doubt, is there any room left for peace and optimism? It is important to take time each day to rest and refocus your mind on Gods purpose for your life. A helpful way to regain a positive outlook on your days is to read the Bible. Through scripture, we reconnect with God, his son, and the Holy Spirit. Scripture transforms our hearts and minds by opening our souls to new beginnings.
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint (Isa. 40:2831 KJV).
Daily Devotions with Jen provides scripture, along with positive yet straightforward reminders that you are loved and never alone. Gods plan for your life is clearly written in his teachings and best followed on a daily basis.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Prov. 3:56 KJV).

My name Is Jennifer Taylor. As a young girl I knew God was present in my life. I remember praying for world peace although I never really understood what that meant, and acknowledging that there was constant presence around me. I became a mother at the age of 21 to my daughter Audrey. Even then I knew she was a gift from God. And as young mother, now at the age of 23 and with my second child Danny, I was busy and life became an everyday, constant struggle. Though through these struggle I still continued to pray.
Fast forward to age 36, mother of two more boys Nathan and Jt (James), I found myself remarried to a wonderful man and my children and I belonged to an amazingly supportive church. This is where I heard that powerful call from the Holy Spirit telling me to start writing. I had been struggling with the idea of wanting to help people but with 4 children and a tight budget, helping others seemed more like a dream than a reality. So little did I know that writing would be my way of helping others. The call was a soft yet precise voice, very distinct and exact in its message. Full of questions and doubt, I initially ignored my calling. The next month I heard it again, but this time it was in the form of a command. I followed its instruction and immediately began writing Daily Devotions with Jen.
I had fears of being ridiculed, blasphemed and hated for writing about God’s Word. I then realized that when you are called to act on his behalf, you listen, follow and be brave. God knew I was capable more than I knew it about myself. I knew that given his instruction, and blessed with courage, I could go outside of my comfort zone and proceed to this calling.
October 30, 2015 marks the first day of my writing journey. Through scripture I have been able to help others reaffirm their faith and hope in God’s love for them. This journey has helped me understand that we are all called to ministry in one way or another. It is through us that God’s word is taught, heard, obeyed and trusted.
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (Isaiah 6:8 KJV)
