Chapter One is focused on the basic concept of magnetron sputtering, magnetic configurations and applied power for various applications. The deposition of thin films of metals, metal oxides, metal nitrides and transition metal dichalcogenide materials by magnetron sputtering techniques for various applications is also examined. In Chapter Two, the limitations for the conventional magnetron sputtering plasma are introduced.
