Kazunori Matsuura is a Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Graduate School of Engineering, Tottori University. He received his Ph D in 1996 from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Prof. Yoshio Okahata). He joined Nagoya University as an Assistant Professor in 1996, and moved to Kyushu University as an Associate Professor in 2001. In 2006, he was selected as a researcher of JST PRESTO project “Structure Control and Function”. In 2012, he moved to Tottori University as a Full Professor. Professor Matsuura received The Young Scientists’ Prize from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2008, the JSPS Prize from the Japan Society of the Promotion of Science in 2012, The Chemical Society of Japan Award for Creative Work in 2016, and SPSJ Mitsubishi Chemical Award in 2019.
