About the author

Rukia Monique Rogers founded the Highlander School in 2013, a natured-centered program committed to anti-bias work. She has worked with young children and their families for over 25 years, including as a preschool and toddler teacher, a studio teacher, and a curriculum coordinator. Rogers holds a BS in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University.
