About the author
Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) was an English poet and critic intimately associated with the Romantic movement through his friendship with William Wordsworth. Many of his most famous poems, such as ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and ‘Kubla Kahn, ‘ were notable for their fantastic elements.
