Her work has been published in a variety of scientific journals including Environmental Management, Global Change Biology, Conservation Biology, and Journal of Mammalogy. Mahan currently serves on Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro’s Advisory Council for Conservation. She lives in State College, Pennsylvania.
