Trauma and Beyond

Support

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be a confusing and debitilitating injury – not only for those who are struggling with it themselves, but also for those around them.  This easy-to-read book explains how trauma can affect the mind and body and provides practical evidence-based coping strategies to help to manage distress. The metaphor of the valley of the shadow of death is used to explain the experience of trauma and the stages of healing.   This book was written to be applicable to diverse traumatic experiences – as trauma affects people in many of the same ways regardless of the type of trauma.  This book is a must-have resource for survivors of trauma, their loved ones, and the professionals and associations who support them.
