Master’s Thesis from the year 2021 in the subject Didactics – Reading, grade: Master Degree, Ibn Tofail University, language: English, abstract: ICT has given rise to a host, and ethical issues, and challenges in the use of ICT for education. Especially in the field of reading comprehension in a large class size, several complaints have been registered by both parents and teachers that students’ academic performance and achievement is weak because of inappropriate reading comprehension skills demonstrated by those students and also the large number of students.
This research paper is conducted to investigate the challenges of teaching reading comprehension in large classes and to determine the use of ICT to help students overcome these challenges and increase and improve their reading comprehension skills.
To achieve the objectives of this study, this survey reviewed the most possible works and studies already done and related to the area of this study. Also, four videos were observed in order to reflect on them in relation to the research problem.
The main findings after the observation revealed that the challenges that are faced by students in reading comprehension in a large class size can be overcome through the use of ICT tools. Also, this study showed that the most important prospects of using ICT in teaching reading comprehension included: the obvious improvement in vocabulary building and usage through the use of online dictionary. The study’s findings are intended to give teachers and policymakers a clearer view of the difficulties and advantages of using ICT in teaching reading comprehension.

Kourkouz abdellah is a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Master holder with 5 years of experience in the field. Born and raised in Morocco, I always had a passion for language and education, and after completing my undergraduate degree in English, i decided to pursue a career in teaching English to non-native speakers.
After completing my Master's degree in TEFL, I began my teaching career overseas, where i spent several years teaching English in various countries throughout Africa and Europe. During this time, I honed my teaching skills and gained a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with teaching English as a foreign language.
As an experienced TEFL teacher, I has worked with students of all ages and levels, from young children to adult learners. I has taught in a variety of settings, including language schools, universities, and corporate training programs.
In addition to my teaching experience, I has also been involved in teacher training and curriculum development. I has worked with other TEFL professionals to develop and deliver training programs for new teachers, and has contributed to the development of TEFL curriculum and materials for language schools and universities.
Throughout my teaching career, I has been committed to exploring new approaches and methodologies for language instruction. In addition to my classroom teaching, I has devoted significant time and energy to researching and writing about the field of TEFL. I has authored several books and research papers, exploring topics such as second language acquisition, teaching strategies, and classroom management.
