How does disruption of classes arise and how can it be managed effectively? Teachers work under pressure and often act less rationally than is commonly assumed. Prof. Alexander Wettstein heads the Research Group on Social Interaction in Educational Settings at the Teacher Training College in Bern. Together with Dr. Marion Scherzinger, he has for several years been carrying out research on social interaction, classroom disturbances and aggression at the college=s Institute for Research, Development and Evaluation.
