The sixth volume of the CLAREP Journal of English and Linguistics (C-JEL 6) features twelve high-quality papers in Applied Linguistics and Literary Studies. These papers were selected following presentations at the 2024 CLAREP conference, themed: Doing Research in African Linguistics: Existing Challenges and the Way Forward. The conference drew contributions from both African and non-African scholars engaged in African linguistics research, each exploring specific aspects of African linguistics and highlighting existing challenges in empirical research and offering insightful recommendations.
