Ali, the author of this book, is from Tehran, Iran. He belongs to an upper-class Iranian family. He holds an MA in Philosophy and an MA in English literature. Therefore, the purpose of writing this romance is to tell the world that millions of gays in the Muslim world are in desperate need of help from their fellow human beings.
