Alyson co-founded the first UK organisation supporting people with Auditory Processing Disorder/APD. As well as currently chairing a new organisation (APD Support UK) to campaign for wider recognition and providing a website of the same name and several online APD support groups, she has written a non-fiction book on Auditory Processing Disorder for children, parents and professionals: ’Can I Tell You About Auditory Processing Disorder.’ Her second book about APD will be available for publication on 18th March 2021 and can be pre-ordered: ’Auditory Processing Disorder (APD): Identification, Diagnosis and Strategies for Parents and Professionals’ based on almost 20 years of experience in this area.
