Jane Eyre was orphaned as a baby. She was employed as a governess at Thornfield Hall at the age of eighteen and met the master, Rochester. Both of them were attracted by each other’s unique temperament and rich feelings, so they fell in love deeply regardless of the disparity of identity and status. At the wedding, Jane Eyre found a mad woman hiding in the attic of the Rochesters’ House and she was Rochester’s wife. Jane Eyre left in anger. Later, she inherited a fortune from her uncle. However, she couldn’t resist her deep yearning for Rochester, so she went back to Rochester who had lost his wealth and had been badly damaged by the fire, and married him resolutely. In the bath of love, Rochester regained happiness and health. Jane Eyre successfully builds the first female image that adopts independent and positive attitude towards love, life, society and religion and dares to struggle for freedom and equality in the history of English literature. It becomes a classic work handed down from generation to generation in the history of literature.
