Born on Inis Meain in the Aran Islands, but now living on the neighbouring island, Inis Oirr. Has written a number of books, including short stories, a novella, stories for children and local history. Many of his short stories have been translated into English and were published in the collection Night Ructions. Dara”s fascinating and much-acclaimed writing is full of wonder and imagination. Runs a craft shop and also teaches.
