E. Charles Vivian (1882-1947), born Charles Henry Cannella, was a soldier, journalist, and novelist. He wrote A History of Aeronautics (1921), and was a prolific author of science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural horror novels, including City of Wonder, Star Dust, and a retelling of Robin Hood—sometimes using the name “Jack Mann” as a pen name.
