Grundlage dieses Buches ist die Idee, anhand eines einzigen Projektes mit einem durchgän- gen Beispiel durch die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten von ARCHICAD zu führen. Im Vorfeld hat sich immer wieder gezeigt, dass gerade Neueinsteiger durch die in der Praxis meist verwen- ten kleineren Übungen eher verunsichert werden, schnell den Überblick verlieren und damit den Spaß an einem Programm, das fast spielerisch zu erlernen ist. Daneben soll der Leser jedoch auch weiterführende Informationen an die Hand bekommen. Aus ursprünglichen Erläuterungen zu den einzelnen Befehlen wurde schnell ein eigenständiges Nachschlagewerk, das zudem mit Tipps und alternativen Lösungsmöglichkeiten den Arbei- alltag, auch von erfahreneren Anwendern, erleichtert.
