Sub-Saharan Africa faces three big challenges over the next generation. It will double its population to two billion by 2045. By then more than half of Africans will be living in cities. Since leaving the British Army in 2015, where he served for 31 years and on operations in the Balkans and Afghanistan, he has worked mainly in sub-Saharan Africa. He is co-author of A Great Perhaps?
