He specializes in telling stories about outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, acts of charitable giving, and practices of sustainable living. James has worked in the outdoor industry since 1989 as a guide, outfitter, independent sales representative, and now a writer and sometimes photographer. His experience includes a broad range of expeditions, from mountaineering and rock climbing to backcountry skiing and kayak touring.
