BINOD C. AGRAWAL (Ph.D. The University of Wisconsin) was responsible for assessing, the effects of satellite communication in national development in India, since its inception. He taught at the Iowa State University and at the Indian Agriculture Institute. Under his leadership, Computer Literacy and School Studies (CLASS) project was evaluated. His publications include several books and several papers both in national and international journals. He was a member of the Indian team of the Indo-Canadian project on Computer technology for higher education. Currently he is President of the National Council of Development Communication. LARRY R. SYMES (Ph.D. Purdue University) is Project Director, of the CIDA supported collaborative Indo-Canadian Project “A Design Model for Computerizing University”. Dr. Symes had been Dean, Faculty of Science the University of Regina for ten years where he headed Department of Computer Science and taught since 1970. Earlier Dr. Symes taught at Purdue University. Dr. Symes is in the forefront of computerization of the institutions of higher learning in Canada. He has published extensively computer software design and evaluation of course curriculum. He has also published a number of popular articles in various computer applications. Dr. Symes is a member of several professional associations and have travelled extensively abroad including China where he delivered invited lectures.
