People living in a state of "happiness" are predetermined by caste and hatched from test tubes and incubators. Embryos are divided into different castes, from low to high, and receive different training.Those of lower castes are short and ugly, performing the most menial jobs in society; while those of higher castes are tall and beautiful, forming the upper echelon of society.In this new world, everyone is happy, and everyone’s happiness is identical. The book’s reflection on technological development and concern for the fate of humanity make it a banner in the "dystopian" literature of the twentieth century.
