My name is Melissa Brown. I live in Pleasant Grove, Alabama with my husband; Geno. Geno and I have a blended family, between us we have five amazing children: Tori, Drew, Marley, Kristian and Carlyle. My husband is my best friend. Geno and I are both ordained ministers. I own a small cleaning business. I love dogs (we have five), food, and fitness. Geno and I host a Friday night Bible Study in our home as well as lead the Singles Ministry at our church. We have a heart for people. I am very outgoing, which is quite ironic, as growing up, I was very timid and shy. My love for Jesus has blossomed me to adopt a happy, energized, extroverted-personality and loving spirit. I felt God’s hand on my life when I was sixteen but pushed His hand away. For twenty-two years I ignored God, I could feel Him near but did not want anything to do with Him. Then, in September of 2009, when I felt His touch again, I refused to let Him go. Finally, allowing God to embrace me after running for so long was the best decision I ever made. My heart and passion is women’s ministry but I tell everyone about how the love of Jesus Christ and how His pursuit of me changed my life forever. I believe that women should be united instead of divided. Women are precious, princesses of the Most High King and we should help adjust one another’s crown. I believe true growth comes from encouraging one another and lifting each other up. My goal in ministry is to introduce my readers and anyone that I encounter, to the Cross of Jesus Christ that saved me, to the God who, never took His hands off of me, and who has loved me through it all; never to forsake me. I desire to share my experience of how God changed me into a God-fearing, Bible-toting, loving, wild-passionate warrior AND…. Coffee is my ABSOLUTE favorite beverage.
