Abimbola Adesoji is a Professor of History at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. His research interests are traditional and contemporary Yoruba history and the socio-political history of Nigeria. His most recent articles have appeared in Canadian Journal of African Studies (2014), Journal of Asian and African Studies (2017), African Identities (2017) and African Study Monographs (2017).Saheed Amusa is a Lecturer in the Department of History at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. His research focus is Nigeria”s social and political history since the colonial period. His articles have appeared in African Journal of AIDS Research, Journal of the Historical Society of Nigeria, and Health, Culture and Society, among others. He is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria, the International Research Network on AIDS and Religion in Africa, and the International Society for Studies in Oral Traditions.
