Ouida
Guilderoy (Barnes & Noble Digital Library) [EPUB ebook]

Stöd

Passion, imagination, and poetry mingle in this study of love and temperaments, featuring aristocratic characters. Lord Guilderoy falls madly in love and marries, but soon he tires of his wife and returns to an old flame. A fascinating character, he ultimately must be forgiven by one woman and forgotten by another. Oscar Wilde said, “It is a resplendent picture of our aristocracy.”

Om författaren

Ouida (1839-1908), born Maria Louise Ramé, was a prolific English writer of novels for adults and children.  A self-proclaimed “serious artist, ” her works combine social commentary with swashbuckling adventure plots that often veer into melodrama.  After a life as extravagant as her fiction, she died in poverty in Italy.
