This book discusses the latest findings on ensuring employees’ safety, health, and welfare at work. It also addresses agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), as well asother professionals dealing with occupational safety and health.

Pedro Arezes is a full Professor (Professor Catedrático) of Human Factors Engineering at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho (UMinho), in Portugal. He holds a Ph D in Production and Systems Engineering from the University of Minho and he is a Visiting Fellow at Age Lab’s MIT and Harvard University, in Boston – USA. He is currently a visiting scholar at MIT and Harvard University, in Boston, USA.
